1. When you install our RFID system for the 'Automatic Vehicle Identification Access' where do you install the RFID computer chip in our vehicles?

Since Cowtown Electric offers several different types of RFID Readers, we therefore offer a variety of RFID chips (tags) that we install into vehicles, which are used for various situations. Some of the RFID tags are encased in a credit-card sized plastic card that clips to the sun visor, or slips in and out of a small holder attached to the inside front windshield. While other windshield tags affix directly to the vehicle inside front windshield utilizing an incorporated sticky-back surface, and for security purposes, if removal is attempted renders them non-functional. Yet, there are metal mount RFID tags that are weatherproof that can be attached to the front grill of the vehicle or wherever necessary.

2. We are building a new home and the electrical contractor we are considering to wire it does not offer any technology or home automation systems. Can you install a 'smart' system in our home?

3. What if I cut my fingertip and it leaves a scar, will my fingerprint reader still work?

There are various types of fingerprint readers with varying degrees of acceptance or denial of a fingerprint. With that understanding, we can also enroll more than one fingerprint from each person. Often times the index finger from both the right and left hand are used. We also can install an additional authorization device to have as an alternative source, such as a 'smart card' or a keypad.

4. In our new home we want a computer networking system, a whole-house audio system, and an automatic back-up generator in case the power goes down. Can you help us through all the confusion?

Although performing 'power factor correction' and lowering the 'demand usage' can reduce your electric bill -- the outcome is determined prior to any work we do. We do this to first determine if you are a candidate and the cost outlay is feasible for the saving generated.

6. We just met with an home automation company and we became so frustrated and overwhelmed by all the technical jargon that we eventually backed-out since it was not clear as to what they were selling us. How is Cowtown Electric any different?

Yes we realize that most people can become bewildered with the technical jargon used by the "Hi-Tech" automation experts and their difficult to use over-priced systems that have complicated control screens. Quite frankly, unless we are asked a very specific technical question, in most cases we use a simple straightforward approach using common every day English words... and we will try our best to help explain (but don't worry, we won't talk "Over your Head!").

7. I don't know anything about technology. Will installing any technology devices or systems complicate my life?

This is a fair question; the entire purpose of technology is to provide you with more convenience, safety, comfort and bring enjoyment in your life. Although there are companies that will sell customers worthless and complicated 'tech' gadgets and gizmos, Cowtown Electric designs and installs technological systems that are functional and very user friendly -- often times with just the push of a single button. While we can also have specific functions of your automation system work with your mere presence of just entering and exiting your home or workshop to accommodate whatever outcome you desire!
